Left: Alice (Emily Kirkup)

Above: Mabel (Graham Pavey) and Jack (Victoria Warren).

Alice meets the White Rabbit and is accidentally pushed down the rabbit hole by his friend Jack. Alice’s mum Mabel (the dame) follow.

Once down the rabbit hole, they meet The Essex Cat (shades of TOWIE!) and The Queen of Hearts (who is never in a good mood), with a magic show by Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.

Above: The Queen (Sue McKeating) wants another head!

Right: Andrea Simpson as The Essex Cat.

Below: Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum (Emma Richardson and Joyce Halpin) perform their magic trick.

Alice, Jack and Mabel stumble upon the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party as they try to find their way out of the rabbit warren.

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. L-R: Hatter (Josh Kirkup), Alice (Emily Kirkup), Mabel (Graham Pavey), Jack (Victoria Warren) and the March Hare (Josh Heard).

The Queen arrives in the middle of the party and hauls the Mad Hatter off to Wonderland Jail for not paying his rent on the Tea Party. Alice and the others follow to try to rescue him before the Queen chops his head off!!

The Queen with the Hatter.

Miss Lemon (the Royal Aide) looks on (Alice Grandidge) whilst the Guards (Joel Kirkup and Aiden Page) make sure he doesn’t escape.

The gang find the Hatter and Jack plays a trick on the Queen and they escape before she realizes that she’s been “conned”. They hide in the magic trick that Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum left behind but the Queen finds them using her own magic. Jack is forced to work in the Wonderland Garage with the other playing cards.

Jack is set to work in the Wonderland garage.

L-R: Allyson Cable, Rhiannon Bland, Victoria Warren.

The rest of the gang try to rescue Jack but the Queen catches them and they all end up in Wonderland Jail. They decide that it’s a bit dreary and needs cheering up, so they get Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum to re-decorate in slapstick style. They escape by disguising themselves as flowers and go to the garden.

Inside the Wonderland Jail.

Tweedle-Dum shows Jack and Mabel how (not) to wallpaper!

In the garden, the Queen has a dream (or so she thinks) that her time as ruler of Wonderland is about to end. There is a chase and the Queen is captured and put into Wonderland Jail!

The Queen in Wonderland Jail.

The King (Dave Manyweathers) crowns the Hatter as the new ruler of Wonderland and Alice and Jack get married in pantomime tradition.
