Wootton Country Players
Wootton Country Players
We have added another title to our “Three Plays”, so now we have “Four Plays - a quadruple bill”!
“Pool (no water)” by Mark Ravenhill. A bohemian physical drama piece , hypnotic and razor sharp, tearing up the ideals of friendship and art exposing a deep vein of envy.
A famous artist invites her old friends out to her luxurious home and new swimming pool. For one night only, the group is back together, pretending to be bohemian and carefree even though they’re all older now and the rest of them don’t have pools.
“Sparkling Pesticide” By James Leyland. Three women decide to murder their husbands in this ridiculously hilarious play with multiple twists.
“Unhappy Medium” – by Sue Coussy & James Leyland. Three members of a local Ladies Guild get more than they bargain for when a psychic booked for one of their evenings turns out to be uncannily accurate in this "dead silly" comedy.
These two plays are published by Peninsula Productions.
The third is “Pinky Promise” written by Emily Kirkup and performed by the players Youth Section. The action is set in a school where the children think they have put a curse on their teacher.
